The Reds get the 'Blues'

The less said the better. This was a day for Liverpool fans to forget. After a fantastic week of two court victories, all of sudden it was hoped that success could now move to the pitch with a derby victory to celebrate. But we were wrong!
In a nutshell Everton deserved the win. They showed more determination, they defended well, they ran the midfield well and they attacked well. All in all, they were the better team. Unless your name is Roy Hodgson and you disagree with me and thousands of others, but more of that later.
Liverpool managed about two attempts on goal in first half, with the first after 24 minutes. This wasn’t impressive stuff. The only positives I’d noticed were:-
1) Poulsen wasn’t playing. Apparently he had ‘personal’ issues. Personally I’d like to hope he’d realised he is as useful as a ashtray on a motorbike. It’s not like he plays well for the national team either. Apparently according to Vegard Heggem’s twitter, a Danish paper had scored him 0/6 for his midweek performance for Denmark!
2) Raul Meireles was selected to play centre midfield, rather than left midfield (why Woy, why!?). He seemed to be filling Mascherano’s boots well as he gained a yellow card with the innocent face and hand gestures following!
And that was it!!!
After 33 minutes Coleman skipped past Konchesky as if he wasn’t there (although this would be possible by a 3 year old!) and Cahill finished. 1-0, Everton.
At half time I thought Woy might drop his 9-1-0 formation and maybe go for the equaliser and then maybe a win. I heard it was 15/2 odds for a Liverpool win - I put on a tenner, oops!
Liverpool did come out more positively for about 10 minutes in the 2nd half, although they still lacked direction and inventiveness. This was no doubt down to the ‘tactics’ of the manager. Before you knew it Arteta smashed the ball into the net. 2-0 and it was game over, the reds were never going to come back from this and they didn’t.
Perhaps if Hodgson had bothered to make his substitutions earlier it may have been different, but I doubt it. What was laughable after seeing such a lacklustre performance and the losing the game 2-0, Hodgson decided to come out and say we played well in the 2nd half! And not only that, it was possibly the best the team had played all season!!
Come on Woy, I know we’ve been bad this season, but now you’ve lost the plot. At least be honest and say we were crap!
I really think this comment could have been his final nail in his coffin. Judge me on 10 games he said, now I think (and hope) he’ll gone after Napoli tomorrow.
King Kenny anyone?
